We left Rome and on our way to Florence, stopped for lunch and the afternoon in Siena. It was a really beautiful town and possibly my favourite place in Italy. I would love to go back and see more of Tuscany.
This is where the Pope speaks! Behind is St Peter's, where having gone to bed at 4am and got up at 6am to get into the Vatican, I fell asleep at a service when we had some free time to look around... Oops. Im going to hell :(
This was our first stop on the tour in Italy. Cool place but very touristy and expensive.
26th September.
We stopped here for lunch. I made the mistake of eating this Turkey & Water Chestnut sandwich and it gave me food poisoning - ewww!
September 25th.
A night in Munich and a visit to the Oktoberfest.
The famous gate "Arbeit Macht Frei" or Work Brings Freedom.
At Auschwitz...

September 24th. Our first stop in Germany, a cruise down the Rhine River and dinner at a tradional German restaurant.
First stop on my Europe tour. It was a messy couple of days. Our tour leader decided that on our first night, it would really be a good idea if we went to bed early. Yeah right! Our tour director didn't understand the concept of having a bit of fun.

This was taken on my first weekend in London. Spent the best part of Saturday and Sunday acquainting myself with my new home.
Photos taken on my first international flight. This was the plane that I flew from Perth to Singapore and then to Paris.. my first international flight!
It was a pretty awful 24 hours or so. I couldn't sleep and they lost my big suitcase. I promptly burst into tears at the Qantas baggage desk. Here I was in a foreign country on my own for the first time and I had no clean clothes because I had to put all my laptop stuff in my carry-on. They dropped my bag off at about 11pm that evening thankfully and looking back now Im so glad they did because otherwise I would have had to carry the heavy thing!
