National Punch a London Underground Worker Day

This morning I left my house at approximately 7:45am. I walked to catch a bus to Shepherds Bush, then caught a bus to Oxford Circus and finally a bus to Chancery Lane. How long do you think this took me?? Only 3 hours and 15 minutes.

My normal tube ride from East Acton to Chancery Lane takes 25 to 30 minutes.

To all the London Underground workers out there... We are not pawns in your game of chess. We do not have a say in how much you get paid so why are you holding us to ransom? Its not that I dont agree that you possibly deserve more money or better conditions but surely there is another way around it?

OK rant over!

Not so massive

Well my weekend wasn't so massive... It turns out I don't get paid til the last day of the month, which is this Wednesday so Im still doing teh Poorness. Being teh Poorness is teh Suck! However housemates and friends took pity on me. Friday night's one glass of wine before I do some work turned into too many bottles and how did I make it up the stairs... Saturday night's oh just come for one drink down the Askew turned into 5 drinks and a stumble home at 1:30am. Bless. Moral of the story, every time you say you are only going to have one drink it turns into far too many, also Stella is The Worst Beer Ever!!! I had the biggest headache on Sunday.

Did manage to get some work done and say goodbye to my housemate Timmy who moved out on Sunday for good... We are gonna miss you :'( Da-animals send their love! We have also offered his old room to someone today and they will probably be moving in on Saturday. Another New Zealander so we can continue with the never-ending sheep jokes... Choice!!!

Another Sunny Monday Afternoon

Another weekend goes by, hopefully this week I will be paid and have money again.

Its been quite boring just chilling at home, doing freelance stuff, watching vids. Thank God I have housemates to drink a few quiet brews with. Although with my housemates its never normally a few.

I got home Friday night, ripped open my new care package from Mum (cherry ripes, Moccona coffee, socks and a football record) and made some dinner. Everyone was out by that stage so I thought I would sit down, watch a bit of EastEnders and have a quiet beer. My housemate Tim arrives home from his brothers going away work do, so we came up with incredible plan of playing drinking games.. I was sooo hungover on Saturday.

Didn't really do much else for the rest of the weekend, just slept and watched vids. Next weekend going to have a massive one. You hear that? A massive one.

OMG I got a gmail account

Its the hottest property on the web right now and I now have one. Yes thats right I have a gmail account. You can now email me at mandajATgmail.com sorry just have to watch out for the scary spam monsters.

Don't have much else to write, other than that Michelle's mate who is dossing with us cooked dinner again.. Sometimes dossers are great.

A beautiful Monday at work

Second week at work.. Its a beautiful Monday and Im stuck inside the office. Such is life though.

Had a largely boring weekend, made better by the fact England got beaten in the UEFA Cup by France. Only England could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in such a beautiful manner. Spent a lot of time in my backyard sunbaking.. How British is that?

Not much to report other than that I will be returning home for a holiday (90% sure about this) for a few weeks in September. I fly in on the 18th at 2pm and expect to be sozzled before 8pm. Yay. Party details will follow as soon as its all booked.

A work in progress

Started a new job yesterday.. They gave me a new G5 to play with. Been getting in late as we don't finish until 6pm but tis cool.

Still working on getting this thing up and running. Soon.
