Adam Neates
Im sure I have mentioned this guy before - Adam Neates. He does these paintings and takes photos of them in different locations around the Brick Lane/Spitafields area. On Thursday morning, Phil and I were walking to the tube and we saw one lying on the ground. Thing was, I wasn't sure if it was one of his paintings or not. It was a little more abstract than previous ones. A friend of mine from work is collecting the paintings so I told her to check it out but she couldn't find it. On Friday arvo, I was walking back to the tube and I saw the painting hidden behind a gate so I grabbed it and ran back to the office to give it to my work mate, Agnes. Agnes was chuffed. It even has two paintings on it (one on each side!) See below...

The weekend was pretty busy. Saturday, I went up to Leamington Spa by train to visit my Mum's friend (Mum went up Friday and came back Sunday). It was OK but a bit middle England for me. I love London, the dirt, the grit, the bustle of the place. I miss it like crazy when I leave.
Sunday was quiet, Phil worked all weekend and Mum wasn't there so I got on with the housework and cooked a nice dinner for everyone (Avocado & Salmon Salad... nice!)
Monday - I mean how good are bank holidays?? Mum and I meant to go to the Matisse exhibition at the Royal Academy but by the time we got into Central London it was late and we wanted to shop. We had a boozey lunch at a restaurant off Oxford Street (In Barratt Street but I cant remember the restaurant name.) The food wasn't too bad but the service was generally rubbish.
Its only a few more days until Im on holiday!!!!
