The Big Breakfast

Well, got home last night and got all my cleaning, washing, mopping, plant watering down before sitting down to watch Green Wing and Matrushka's (A Belgian TV series) with a lovely tomato, red wine & sausage casserole with some rice.

Super easy to make...
1. Fry some onions and garlic with the sausages.
2. Bung some tinned chopped tomatoes, red kidney beans, potato cubes in the pot with some red wine and water.
3. Add some s&p, herbs and gravy granules. I added chilli powder in to give it a kick.
4. Leave to simmer for awhile.
5. Chop cooked sausages up into slices and return to pot.
6. Cook some rice and serve.

But anyways I was all ready to get up early, head over to Broadway Market and then somewhere for a lovely big breakfast. Except the big fella had a few too many drinks and gave me a nice 3am wake-up call when he got home. By the time I dragged him out of bed, it was after 12.

We ended up going to Mess Cafe in Hackney, on Amherst Road. Lovely place but completely jammed full by the time we got there. We had a to wait at least 30 minutes before we saw food and the people after us had to wait that long for tables. When the "Mess Breakfast" did come out, I was chuffed. Sausages (I swapped my egg for an extra one), Mushrooms, Tomato, Bacon, Toast and these strange chippy wedge things. All washed down with a lovely coffee for £4.30. Bargain. Definitely get there early! Feeling revived, I couldn't resist the temptation of a Primark for some cheap tops & underwear. Some nice basics always goes down a treat. It was about 3:30pm so we hopped back on the bus to Bow to chill out some more.

Tomorrow, Im being ultra ambitious in hoping I might be able to get Phil moving and maybe check out something on my Top 10 list. I haven't decided what yet, depends when we get out of bed. Will post my photos of breakfast later!
