Top 10 sessions I wished I attended at the Summit

This is my final post about the IA Summit in Memphis, 2009. These are ordered, according to the schedule. I’ve included some (Andrew Hinton and Donna Spencer) because I’ve heard them speak before and others because I heard a lot of buzz about their sessions during the conference (Whitney Hess, Stephen Anderson and Russ Unger). Some just have fabulous slides, and as an artifact they are good to refer to, separately from the conference (Matthew Milan and Michael Dila).

  1. You are (Mostly) Here: Digital Space & The Context Problem
    Andrew Hinton
  2. Creating Magic Kingdoms: User Experience Lessions from Disney’s Imagineers
    Michael Atherton
  3. Design Games for IA
    Donna Spencer
  4. Site Redesign: When hell freezes over use a blowtorch
    Melissa Matross
  5. IA Spy School
    Joe Dyer
  6. Integrating Effective Prototyping into Your Design Process
    Fred Beecher
  7. Innovation Parkour
    Matthew Milan & Michael Dila
  8. An Internet Watered Down (How We Can Save the Mobile Web)
    John Pettengill
  9. Art & Science of Seductive Interactions
    Stephen Anderson
  10. Evangelizing Yourself: You Can’t Change the World if No One Knows Your Name
    Whitney Hess
